I feel as if it is a written law of the tribe then it should be carried out. Years ago,relating to the bible the laws will carry out from God immediatley and it was understood by all. Everyone should understand neutral laws giving, and consequences recieved for disobeying all breaking them. In the case Mukhtar mai, i feel as if they were wrong for allowing her to get gang raped because of what her younger brother have done. That to me was a brutal punishment when she has nothing to do with has been done to her. I guess different races, tribes, and cultures has their way of doing things.

In the case of Mukhtar Mai the tribe was wrong for punishing the inno cent girl the way they did. The family was already shamed by the brother’s crime. The tribehad no right ethically to hand down such an inhumane punishment of rape. Culturally we may have differences but when it comes to right and wrong it is clear. Do not do to others in which you would not do to yourself. There should be no neutral culture when it comes to rape. If their culture finds it against the law to rape than it should not be used as a punishment. It is obvious that they see rape as something that is wrong. So I do not think that by us saying that the rape was wrong that we are judging it by our own standards. It was done publicly I do not see how anyone could see this as acceptable
