This online lab is to observe standing waves in strings. The standing wave will have two fixed ends. The string will be excited via turning forks vibrating at different frequencies that can be adjusted. For this experiment, we want the velocity to be constant for all normal modes, which means that the tension in the string and the linear mass density will not change. We want to observe the first 4 normal modes, which can be done by applying different frequencies.
